Nice association piece. The tooth is, I believe, a
Chomatodus multiplicatus. Chomatodus is a
Petalodontid shark. Sometimes it's tricky trying
to identify something from a 2 dimensional picture.

The halo type ring surrounding the fossil may
something to do with the mineralization of the
tooth precipitating out and reacting with the
chemical make-up of the host rock or visa versa.
