Mastodon and Mammoth teeth

Age: Pleistocene
Mammoth molars are massive, flat, and plate-like,
compared to the conical teeth of the Mastodon.

The Mastodon tooth (left) was found in 1950 while dredging the
Mississippi River near LaGrange, Missouri.

The Mammoth tooth (right) was purchased from an old collection.
The tooth was found in Texas.
