Discussion:

A growth series of the coral, showing rapid increase in diameter as a
juvenile followed by slower growth to an adult diameter of about 4
cm. Most specimens fell sideways as the top became larger than the
base and compensating growth by the coral animal produced the
horn-shaped curvature that is so common in these corals.
