The opposite valve is missing.

General abundance:  Rare

Obviously this specimen did not come from the Lake Neosho Shale.
This fossil was found just below the Worland Limestone resting on the
top of the Lake Neosho Shale. A little of a mystery at this point as
to which section of the exposure it came from. The matrix behind
the fossil has the texture of hard chalk.
This is the only such specimen I have found to date.
